Description

The CAPSCT Digital Platform for Psychosocial Support Services is a free Arabic digital mental health platform developed by the Comprehensive Association for Psychological and Social Crisis Therapy (CAPSCT) to bridge the gap in accessible Arabic psychosocial support services. The platform provides evidence-based psychological services and scientific assessment tools in Arabic, using a scalable and sustainable digital model that enables people to access support without discrimination.

The platform combines digital mental health services with community-based psychosocial interventions, including psychological caravans in underserved and rural areas. Its methodology is based on a human-rights approach, non-discrimination, equitable access, evidence-based early intervention, quality assurance, monitoring, capacity building, and sustainable partnerships.

Through the platform, users can select the type of consultation they need, book a suitable appointment, register securely, receive confirmation and a session link, and access confidential online consultations. Services include free individual psychosocial support, urgent psychological consultations, scientific psychological assessments in Arabic, case follow-up and impact measurement, awareness courses, and training programs for care providers.

The platform primarily serves women and girls, children, youth, men, caregivers, and other socially and economically vulnerable groups. It combines digital outreach with psychological caravans and social media engagement to reach underserved communities and maintain continuous communication with beneficiaries.

The platform addresses major barriers to mental health access by providing services free of charge, with confidentiality, data protection, flexible digital access, and a non-discriminatory model. Its digital innovation lies in integrating psychological consultations, Arabic scientific assessments, online booking, digital session management, follow-up, and impact measurement within one system.

Overall, CAPSCT demonstrates how a sustainable Arabic digital model can expand access to psychosocial support, enable early intervention, reduce financial and social barriers, and reach vulnerable populations across Egypt and other Arab communities. The project analysis identifies future priorities including a mobile application, increased psychological caravans, a hybrid digital-field center, and expanded partnerships with universities and governmental entities.

Project goals

The goal of the CAPSCT Digital Platform is to bridge the gap in accessible Arabic mental health and psychosocial support services by providing free, evidence-based psychological support and scientific assessment tools in Arabic, without discrimination. The project aims to ensure safe, confidential, flexible, and equitable access to psychosocial support, particularly for socially and economically vulnerable groups.

The platform also seeks to promote early intervention, prevent the escalation of psychological crises, reduce financial and social barriers to accessing mental health services, strengthen psychological and social resilience, and expand access through a scalable and sustainable digital model.

Ultimately, the goal is to create a sustainable Arabic digital model that can reach vulnerable individuals in Egypt and across Arab communities and contribute to improving access to quality mental health and psychosocial support.
