I am a Yemeni public health professional and humanitarian practitioner committed to improving access to health, protection, and psychosocial support for vulnerable communities affected by conflict and humanitarian crises.

I hold a Master’s degree in Public Health from Sana’a University. My academic and professional journey has gradually shifted from clinical health care toward public health, prevention, health systems, and community-based approaches to improving people’s wellbeing. This perspective has shaped my commitment to addressing not only individual health needs, but also the social, institutional, and structural barriers that prevent vulnerable people from accessing essential services.

I currently work with the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation (PCF), a Yemeni women-led civil society organization, where I contribute to grants, partnerships, programme development, reporting, and organizational development. Through this role, I have been closely involved in supporting projects that provide mental health and psychosocial support, protection, education, and other essential services to women, girls, children, and vulnerable communities in Yemen.

I am especially passionate about mental health and its integration into broader public health and community systems. Through my work with PCF, I have seen how limited access to specialized services, stigma, poverty, displacement, insecurity, and geographical barriers can prevent people from receiving the support they need. This experience has strengthened my commitment to developing practical and locally appropriate approaches that can continue to create impact even in challenging environments.

Beyond my organizational role, I am interested in research, youth and adolescent health, health promotion, and strengthening preventive approaches in low-resource settings. I believe that meaningful change comes from connecting evidence with practical action and empowering local actors to become part of the solution.
